Soul Limbo

Booker T, with the marvellous Steve Cropper doing guitar, and possibly 'Duck' Dunn on the bass, depending on which version you listen to, as he joined later in the 60's.

The legendary band that backed the Stax sound. Although I think Messrs Cropper and Dunn could have had a haircut around 1970, scruffy buggers!

And a very happy birthday for yesterday to my Jamaican roots correspondent, cos I know she like the soul, too.

And, apparently, cricket. Having been to see a 20-20 the other evening. And following a gentle couple of sinew-stiffeners actually watched the game. With her Dad being from the Windies, he'll be chirped about that attitude.

The song in the title is what Her Majesty's Broadcasting Corporation used to introduce its cricket programmes many years ago. Ting ting ting ta ting ting tinging...etc.

The drink reference - as if I could ever do anything else - is to Plum's wonderful Wooster.

I am now off to write about cooking.
