Delighted to read that the Lunatics that run the Asylum have backed down on minimum pricing for alcohol.
For those of us on the Rock'n'Roll, we don't need it being banged up. I am happy to drink irresponsibly. Something OFF, Nanny. Anyway, I always have a glass of milk at bedtime.
It's just the daytime that causes problems. Can't find the cows.
I am pretty sure Wilko had left Dr Feelgood by the time this song was produced - could be wrong. But the Main Man that is Paul Weller reckons he is pretty influential. Having seen Wilko strut his stuff a couple of times, I have to agree the bloke can strum a geetar. And he is a graduate in English, which is pretty top-hole with me. Having been close to a drunken failure who managed something rather similar - although down the road a bit from Geordieland.
Very sad to read the other day that the bloke is terminally ill. And he used to wander round Sarfend just like a normal citizen. Respect.
So, the rant is not really working round to a conclusion today. There is always another day, I suppose.
'Stay put I wanna go
Hard work, bad show
More liquor, it don't help
He's gonna die, it breaks my heart
I decided eventually
This ain't doing a thing for me
They got him on milk and alcohol
They got him on milk and alcohol '
