Traveller's Tune

Don't usually do this, but I am stuck on OCS at the moment.  Brilliant, brilliant band... should have rivalled Noel and Liam and both bands blasted the poxy Bootles into touch.  These guys may have imitated, but they chose the correct role models... Bonham, Moon, Townshend, Weller, Northern Soul. In my humble opinion, as the girls say.

I am travelling in my mind as I converse digitally with friends.  I have highly recommended this toon and Edwyn Collins' 'Girl Like You' to my lovely Brisbane correspondent, who is stuck with Northern even though she was too young to go to the Torch, Twisted Wheel, Yate, Loughborough or the vaunted Casino. As if anyone would take a recommendation from me.  Or a cheque.  Boing!

Funnily, she liked them. so they may appear on her channel soon. And I was too young to go the Wheel or the Torch.  Bloody Hell, 704 and still too young to have done something?  I should have Biblical abilities.  Though not, perhaps, in Bloody Hell.  See Rowan Atkinson as Toby for a decent run-down.

On the subject of travel I realise not only is the Daughter of Delight due to attend the US of I soon, but I have friends and acquaintances all over the globe.  The internet has opened up a whole feast of possibility, as indeed, has Skype.  I am merely nibbling. 'Nibble, LEAVE Orifice alone'....another reminder of the MacLaren-crasher.

Many of my correspondents would never return to England, so my current plan is to take England to them.

It is called Empire-building and starts with a safe seat, some Winstonian aplomb and a large well-disciplined army.  And a flag, as Izzard would commend,  So far, I think I have the flag.

Travel, indeed.
